Job Description

As a Senior Accountant, you will be a cornerstone of the HydraForce Finance & Accounting team, serving as the right hand to the Accounting Manager. You are a proactive business partner responsible for driving the month-end close process, ensuring financial accuracy, and delivering critical insights to the organization. You will take ownership of core accounting functions while dedicating significant effort to projects that streamline our processes, enhance controls, and secure our financial operations.

Your success will be measured by your ability to manage a timely and accurate 3-day accounting period close, build strong cross-functional relationships, and confidently make decisions that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the entire accounting function. 

Key Responsibilities:

· Own the Closing Process (70%):

o Lead the full cycle of month, quarter, and year-end close processes to ensure a timely and accurate closure within 3 working days.

o Maintain the general ledger including preparing and review complex journal entries to ensure proper documentation and compliance with IFRS and the internal standards. Support audit requirements.

o Perform and oversee timely balance sheet account reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies.

o Coordinate with stakeholders across the organization to validate the quality and timeliness of all inputs required for closing.

o Manage reporting submissions into HFM (Hyperion Financial Management).

o Manage treasury functions including cash management, forecasting, and bank reconciliations.

o Provide expert accounting guidance to support the A/R, A/P teams and other departments to ensure consistent and accurate financial data processing.

· Drive Process Improvement & Projects (30%):

o Continuously analyze and identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, with a focus on the month-end close and reporting cycles.

o Lead and participate in special projects aimed at improving efficiency, implementing new tools, or strengthening internal controls.

o Partner with HR on payroll-related accounting and with Sales on revenue and commission-related analysis.

o Develop and maintain robust financial reports and dashboards to support management decision-making.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting.

· Minimum 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, with demonstrated experience in a manufacturing environment.

· Proven experience managing a full month-end close process under tight deadlines is required.

· Hands-on experience with SAP (FI/CO modules) is strongly preferred.

· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas) and other MS Office tools.

· Experience with financial consolidation systems; familiarity with HFM (Hyperion Financial Management) is highly preferred.

Additional Information

The salary range for this full-time position is $95,000.00- $110,000.00 salary is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc. The Recruiter can share more details about the specific salary range during the interview process.
