Job Summary

Senior Power BI Developer with strong expertise in a relevant data and reporting domain. Strong hands-on experience in Power BI development, Power App,  ETL, data modeling, reporting, SQL, and cloud technologies (Azure, AWS preferred).

Roles & Responsibilities:

• 8–10 years of professional experience in a relevant data and reporting domain.

• Strong hands-on experience in Power BI development, Power App, ETL, data modeling, reporting, SQL, and cloud technologies (Azure, AWS preferred).

• Proven ability to design, develop, and optimize interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations in Power BI based on business requirements.

• Good exposure to work on sales proposal, technical and estimate.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and SMEs to gather reporting needs, define data models, and prepare requirement mapping documents.

• Extensive experience working with SQL and relational databases such as SQL Server, Azure SQL, or Redshift.

• Solid understanding of Power BI Service features, including apps, workspaces, dataflows, datasets, and gateways.

• Implement Power BI performance optimization techniques, including:

Efficient DAX query design and measures

Reducing data load and optimizing refresh rates

Managing report performance through aggregation tables and query folding

Optimizing visuals and minimizing heavy calculations on the front end

• Experience with Power BI administration, security setup (RLS/OLS), and workspace management.

• Exposure to data engineering concepts (ETL processes, data pipelines, Azure Data Factory, or similar tools) would be beneficial.

• Ability to troubleshoot performance issues, validate data accuracy, and ensure best practices in BI solution design.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reports based on business requirements, ensuring data accuracy and usability.

• Optimize report performance through efficient data modeling, DAX tuning, and query optimization techniques.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines practices for data deployments.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders and data teams to gather requirements, define KPIs, and translate needs into technical solutions.

• Manage Power BI service components such as datasets, workspaces, dataflows, and gateways, ensuring smooth deployment and maintenance.

Educational qualification:

B.E/B.Tech/MCA or Equivalent Degree
