Job Description

ChP/MOE3 is responsible for the manufacturing of HDEV5 and HDEV6 high pressure gasoline injectors for engines with direct injection. Under minimal supervision, the Director of Manufacturing is highly visible to customers, suppliers, executives, and employees of Bosch. As a value stream owner, the Director of Manufacturing is responsible for Safety, Quality, Productivity, Scrap, Delivery and Cost KPIs and new business development, including project calculations. The Director is responsible for leading value stream teams through transformation and growth and developing, deploying, executing targets and measures leading to operational excellence throughout the entire value stream. 

Job Responsibilities:
• Proactively direct all activities in the Value Stream (Source – make – delivery) to reach Operational Excellence
• Develop/deploy Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery improvement strategies.
• Control continuous improvement process (CIP) activities, motivating all associates within the Value Stream to actively participate in CIP on a continual basis
• Interface with internal/external customers
• Implementation of organizational initiatives with minimal guidance
• Develop and deploy internal policies, processes and procedures
• Implement and coach for corporate initiatives (CIP, Policy Deployment, Bosch Production System, I4.0)
• Establish environment for risk-taking, innovation and socially responsive behavior
• Monitor budgets and manage cost improvements (business plan, forecast, actual) performance (quality, costs, delivery).
• Report to and communicate with executive management (plant, business unit, lead plants and customers) regarding MOE performance and project status on a regular basis.
• Provide assistance and support to MOE managers to achieve departmental and company goals.
• Lead meetings to build team spirit and communicate company updates.
• Manage resources and policy deployment.
• Coach and develop associates to achieve their career goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 8+ years of related experience in Automotive Manufacturing or equivalent work experience in various manufacturing functions
• 10+ years of experience with manufacturing processes
• 5+ years of leadership experience
• Ability to lead in a multi-cultural, diverse, international working environment to match the global setup of our company
• Strong experience interfacing with Lead Plants, Center of Competence, International Production Networks
• Exceptional leadership skills
• Exceptional continuous improvement process skills in direct and indirect areas
• Strong proactive, analytical, problem solving, planning and organization skills
• Thorough knowledge of Manufacturing principles, proven Lean/BPS Skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
