1. Preventive & Predictive maintenance

• Perform routine Health Checks of Cobots using dedicated software and diagnostic tools to monitor performance, identify potential issues, and ensure optimal functionality.
• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of Cobot assets.
• Conduct thorough inspections and proactively address wear and tear to prevent unscheduled interruptions.

2. Cobot Repair & Calibration:

• Repair broken Cobots offline, which includes precise tasks such as replacing damaged joints, end-effectors, and other critical components.
• Accurately calibrate Cobots after repairs or as part of routine maintenance to ensure precise movement, repeatability, and optimal performance for their assigned tasks.
• Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and software issues, and implement effective corrective actions.

3. Collaborative Improvement & Use Case Optimization:

• Collaborate closely with the Integration Team for continuous improvement of installed use cases for our Cobots.
• Provide technical insights and feedback on Cobot performance, reliability, and maintainability to support the development and refinement of automation solutions.
• Participate in efforts to optimize Cobot programming, tooling, and cell layouts to enhance efficiency and productivity.

4. Spare Parts Management & Preparedness:

• Define and manage the stock for CoBots and essential Spare Parts, ensuring critical components are readily available to support prompt repairs and minimize lead times.
• Proactively prepare CoBots as spares for the Reactive Team, ensuring fully functional and calibrated replacement units are on standby to quickly restore operations in case of primary CoBot failure.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and coordinate with procurement for reordering.

5. Documentation & Best Practices:

• Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all maintenance activities, health checks, repairs, calibrations, and spare parts utilization within the CMMS or designated system.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for CoBot maintenance and repair.
• Stay current with CoBot technology advancements, maintenance best practices, and manufacturer updates.

6. Safety & Compliance:

• Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and relevant industry safety standards for working with CoBots.
• Ensure all repaired and calibrated CoBots meet safety requirements before redeployment.

Qualifications:

• Education: University degree  in Robotics, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of [3-5+] years of hands-on experience specifically maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrations in a production or manufacturing environment.

• Technical Skills:
  • Demonstrated proficiency in performing Health Checks of Cobots using dedicated software and diagnostic tools.
  • Expertise in repairing Cobots offline, including mechanical component replacement (e.g., joints, motors, gearboxes), electrical repairs, and sensor troubleshooting.
  • Proven ability to calibrate Cobots accurately to ensure precise operation.
  • Strong understanding of Cobot programming languages, teach pendant operation, and HMI interaction.
  • Experience with spare parts management and inventory control.
• Soft Skills:
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a methodical approach to diagnostics and repair.
  • Strong collaborative skills, able to work effectively with the Integration Team and other departments.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to high standards of quality and safety.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a dynamic environment.
