The Energy and Building Technology business sector generates ~8% of total Bosch Group sales. The sector has two areas of business: Home Comfort and Building Technologies. Its activities focus primarily on commercial buildings and infrastructure projects. The product portfolio includes video-surveillance, intrusion-detection, fire-detection, and voice-alarm systems, as well as access control and professional audio and conference systems.

Bosch entered the North American Building Technologies space in 2015 through the acquisition of Climatec, a leading U.S. integrator of energy services, building automation, and security & life safety systems.

Job Description

The Vice President, Human Resources leads the HR function for Bosch Building Technologies North America. This executive plays a critical role in shaping talent strategy, organizational effectiveness, and cultural integration across a rapidly expanding and newly combined business.

This role provides strategic leadership, functional oversight, and post‑merger organizational development, as well as managing a team of 30+ HR professionals spanning HR Business Partners, Talent Systems, Benefits & Employee Relations, HR Operations & Transformation, and Compensation.

Responsibilities

Strategic HR Leadership

  • Define and execute HR strategy aligned with business objectives across the North American region.
  • Guide all HR functions, including:
    • Policies and procedures
    • Employee and labor relations
    • Talent acquisition and workforce planning
    • Recruitment and retention programs
    • Compensation and classification
    • Benefits administration
    • Performance management
    • Learning, training, and professional development
    • Organizational design and development
    • Talent management systems & workforce analytics

People & Organizational Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 30+ HR professionals.
  • Build scalable HR systems and processes supporting a workforce of over 3,100 associates.
  • Ensure operational excellence, consistency, and service quality across multiple locations.

Executive Advisory

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on:
    • Workforce strategy
    • Organizational culture
    • Change management
    • M&A integration
    • Organizational effectiveness
  • Support the integration of Climatec and Paladin into a unified North American organization.

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and international employment laws.
  • Uphold standards related to diversity, equity, fairness, ethics, and confidentiality.

Organizational Performance & Engagement

  • Lead initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, retention, and productivity.
  • Drive HR transformation and digitalization initiatives.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Master’s degree preferred (HR Management, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field).

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive HR leadership in industrial or services environments.
  • Supervisory experience leading large, multi‑disciplinary HR teams.
  • International HR leadership with a multicultural orientation required.
  • Proven knowledge across:
    • Benefits & compensation
    • Talent systems & HRIS
    • Workforce development
    • Employee & labor relations
    • OD/organizational design
    • Training & development
    • Employment law (U.S. and international)
  • Strong budgeting, financial acumen, and business orientation.
  • Experience guiding organizations through significant change, integration, or transformation.

  • The office is clean, orderly, properly lighted, and ventilated. Noise levels are considered low to moderate.

Compensation, Benefits and Additional Requirement: 

  • Compensation: $220,000 - $270,000 base salary range + Annual Performance Based Bonus Programs. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc.
  • Working Hours: This position generally works Monday- Friday, overtime and on call when necessary
  • Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel 30–40% domestically and internationally.
  • Benefits: Associates and their eligible family members are offered comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plan options as well as company-provided basic life insurance, AD&D, short-term and long-term disability, and access to the employee assistance program. Voluntary benefit options include supplemental life and AD&D insurance, accident, critical illness, and hospital indemnity insurance plans, identity theft protection, pet insurance, and HSA and FSA account options. Associates also have the option to enroll in the company’s 401(k) plan. In addition, associates receive PTO (paid time off), state-mandated sick leave, and 9 paid holidays.
