Job Description

  • During your internship, you will optimize and automate our existing FloEFD CFD simulation workflow, which predicts the fluid flow and cooling performance of complex power tools.
  • You will develop and implement project templates and automation scripts (using the FloEFD API) to make both pre- and post-processing more efficient.
  • The focus will be on creating and testing Python scripts that significantly accelerate the simulation workflow for our key power tool types.
  • Finally, you will actively contribute to improving the quality and speed of our CFD analyses and thereby support our international development teams.

Qualifications

  • Education: studies in the field of Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Aerospace Engineering, Computational Engineering, or comparable with a focus on fluid mechanics/numerical simulation
  • Experience and Knowledge: proficient in MS Office; initial knowledge of CFD simulations (ideally with FloEFD); advanced programming skills in Python; experience with EFDApi or similar API interfaces is an advantage
  • Personality and Working Practice: you excel at collaborating effectively, communicating clearly, analyzing independently, proactively taking ownership, and delivering responsible outcomes
  • Work Routine: your on-site presence is required, combined with working remotely
  • Languages: very good in English, basic in German

Start: according to prior agreement
Duration: 4 - 6 months
