Job Description
Lead Inventory Control activities but not limited to:
- Lead and monitor the inventory control activities by guiding team leaders, clerks and material handler associates (POP’s) in all areas.
- To coordinate and oversee the daily cycle counts of the various inventory locations and define priority of countings.
- Coordinate inventory location leaders to investigate, identify and reconcile the cycle count discrepancies, i.e., shortages as well as overages.
- To audit material backflush / booking process to spot the inconsistencies that affect the accuracy of the inventories and define actions to eliminate or mitigate such deviations.
- Work along with the inventory areas’ owners to organize and maintain efficient material handling and storage.
- Provide regular reports about inventory accuracy to management review and also provide the reports related to root cause elimination and process improvements.
- Push all involved associates in this activity to follow and improve actual policies and procedures related to inventory control.
- Report all adjustments made to the inventory and follow up on the areas’ 8D’s to escalate and prioritize the activity.
- Keep track of inventory adjustments and variances and make regular communications about it to management to facilitate better material planning.
- Work in coordination with various departments to maintain all clerks and material handlers trained to perform their booking activities to achieve accuracy inventory goals.
- Ensure that all the employees work towards achieving the objectives related to inventory control management and make suggestions for improvement to the management.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or similar discipline and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, Procurement Planning, Operations, or similar discipline. Master's level degree preferred but not required in the above fields.
