Job Description
At Bosch’s Kentwood facility, you will play a key role in producing high-precision components for the the rail industry. As a Screw Machine Job Setter, you will set up, operate, and troubleshoot screw machines to ensure optimal performance and quality standards. Your responsibilities will include machine setup, routine maintenance, and collaboration with the team to meet production deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Set up screw machines according to job specifications, including adjusting tooling, collets, cams, and other machine components.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machine operation, tooling, or materials.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and productivity.
- Load raw materials into machines and perform machine start-up procedures.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with production team members and supervisors to prioritize work orders and meet production deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of tools and materials.
- Adhere to safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Document machine settings, production output, and any issues encountered during production.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Screw Machine Jobsetter or in a similar role, with expertise in setup and operation.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and technical drawings.
- Experience with precision measurement tools and quality control methods to ensure product accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced production environment.
- Effective communication skills and proficiency to work collaboratively with team members and supervisors.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies and procedures.

Hourly Compensation: The U.S. base hourly wage for this full-time position is $27.09 with an additional shift premium based on the assigned shift.
