Job Description

About the Role: 

The Sales and Business Development role for 3D advanced ceramic printing solutions will focus on driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and establishing the company’s presence in key industries, particularly in sectors like New space, medical devices, semiconductors, and energy. The role involves identifying opportunities, building relationships with high-value clients, and positioning the company as a leader in the advanced ceramics market. This role requires a hands-on approach to lead generation and a strong track record in driving sales in highly technical markets.

Your Impact: 

  • Drive Sales Growth: Lead the business development efforts to expand the Bosch Advanced Ceramics footprint in the US, especially in medical, energy or electronics sectors. 
  • Lead Generation: Proactively identify, target, and engage new customers. Build and nurture a robust pipeline of high-potential business opportunities. 
  • Customer Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers. Serve as the main point of contact for business development activities and provide strategic customer insights to drive innovation. 
  • Strategize for Success: Craft and execute a regional strategy to attract and secure new customers. Align closely with the Bosch Advanced Ceramics grow platform to tailor product solutions to market needs. 
  • Collaborate Across Borders: Work seamlessly with global teams, including Bosch Advanced Ceramics in Germany and the US grow platform, ensuring a unified approach to market expansion. 
  • Stay Agile: Be ready to travel within the US as needed to connect with customers, attend industry events, and support sales efforts. Adaptability to work across different time zones is essential. 

This job description emphasizes the importance of budget accountability within the business development role, ensuring that the candidate is responsible for managing business development activities within financial constraints and aligning them with the company's budgetary goals. 

Qualifications

What You Bring:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field 
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing with proven success in generating and closing deals in technical fields (e.g., materials science, 3D printing, or manufacturing solutions)
  • Understanding of 3D printing processes, materials (especially ceramics), and how they apply to industries like New space, medical devices, or semiconductors.
  • A successful history of selling technical products or services, ideally within the Advanced Ceramics 
  • A self-starter with a strategic mindset, well-organized, and focused on delivering results 
  • Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) for managing pipelines and reporting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong relationship-building skills with a strategic approach to customer engagement 
  • Exceptional communication skills 
  • Technically savvy using lead generation tools, techniques and communication tools 
  • Prior experience in additive manufacturing is a plus 
  • Familiarity with FDA, ISO, or industry-specific certifications/regulations for materials used in medical devices and aerospace.

Travel

  • Up to 25% both Domestic and International, could vary based on location.
