Job Description
Powertrain Solutions is a provider of diversified powertrain products and solutions in our three market segments Electric Vehicles (EL), Passenger Cars (PC), and Commercial Vehicles / Off-Road (CV/OR) – from gasoline and diesel injection to electric drives with battery and fuel cell technologies.

Developing software / functionality for embedded control systems for automotive applications such as vehicle control unit (VCU), propulsion - combustion, hybrid & electric - control unit (ECU) and transmission control unit (TCU) as a member of Bosch global development team working on the latest generation microcontrollers, microprocessors, and AUTOSAR standards in a highly dynamic, fast paced work environment.
- Perform rapid-prototyping to support functional requirement development.
- Develop manual and model based code according to specification.
- Deep dive analysis improving hardware-software interfaces and developing automated test software for software testing.
- Test and validate new software features in the vehicle, on an engine dynamometer, on a Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL), Software-in-the-Loop (SiL), and/or Model-in-the-Loop (Mi
- Debug/troubleshoot software.
- Participate in program review meetings, interface studies, design review.
- Support customer test trips in hot, cold and high altitude environments and provide local expertise for software functions.
Qualifications
Basic:
Students majoring in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (with Controls focus), Computer Science, Math or Physics (with Controls focus)
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university
- Pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree with at least one semester completed
- Minimum of overall GPA of at least 3.0
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
Eligible to work without sponsorship or 3 years prior full time work experience.
Preferred:
Senior or Master Level students.
1+ year academic or industry experience with software languages and operating systems (real time OS, C, or embedded C. Additionally, assembly/ Linux, etc. desired but not required).
1+ year academic or industry experience with software development and debugging tools (MATLab / Simulink preferred and experience with Ascet, Labview, Lauterbach, etc. desired but not required).
Proactive approach with strong interpersonal and communication skills
Experience with Formula SAE, Hybrid, SolarCar, First Robotics, FutureCar, EcoCAR type of activities is a plus.
