Job Description

Position Objectives

Perform warranty analysis to identify technical cause of customer failure return parts within a specific lead time according to Bosch 8D guidelines.

Consistently maintain overview, prioritize, execute and follow through assignments to assure work quality and schedule compliance.

Competent and independent in analyzing at least 1 sophisticated product.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Verify customer complaint and perform hands-on analysis using a variety of electronic, optical and physical techniques.
  2. Accumulate analysis know-how and case history and apply them on new cases.
  3. Document clear, technically accurate findings timely into analysis report and in the related systems.
  4. Assist with sense of urgency if further analysis needed from warranty analysis lab side after D2 (technical cause identification) is concluded.
  5. Know when to direct to others for working with other related department engineers on problem solving.
  6. Coordinate EOL re-test or stress test using resources of other departments and/or liaise with external lab for physical failure analysis needs.
  7. Participate and organize capability and operational efficiency improvements for the lab for analysis equipment including developing best known method.
  8. Serves as routine operator for a specific equipment or analysis tool and act as equipment owner when necessary.
  9. Author test procedures and able to share the knowledge.
  10. Handle customer complaint parts with necessary safety or ESD-controlled measures, ensure 5S compliance in the lab and handle tool/equipment with care to minimize wear and tear.
  11. Perform other tasks as required by superiors and act as proxy when necessary.

 

 

Qualifications

  1. Diploma in Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronics, Applied Physics or equivalent level of knowledge
  2. Minimum 3-5 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  3. Able to maintain a healthy working environment and teamwork in the department and with other department.
  4. Able to lead a team in cross functional way to solve the problem.
