Corporate Research – Research and Technology Center Asia Pacific is a team of international & interdisciplinary scientists, driving cutting edge research to leverage on Asia’s excellent expertise. • Conduct research and pre-development of innovative fuel cell and hydrogen systems as well as key BoPs for mobility and beyond, in close collaboration with the research teams in Germany and US
• Focus is on optimizing fuel cell and hydrogen system with innovative BoPs, system topology and control strategy
• Work closely with business units in China to supply cutting edge technology solutions and to transform them to products
• Scouting, identifying, benchmarking and tracking of new trends and emerging technologies in China, derive impacts on company research strategy and identify key partners.
• Establish relationship with university professors, industrial companies and experts.

Main responsibility includes:               

• Pursue technology excellence by contributing brilliant ideas to new product concepts including patent filing
• Prove innovation concept by pre-development including design, simulation, prototyping, test and validation
• Design and implement system solutions from requirements to production and commercial deployment
• Support project activities to transfer deliverables to business units successfully

• PhD degree or excellent Master in discipline of automotive engineering, thermodynamics, electrical engineering, fuel cell or computational optimization; knowledge on fuel cell and hydrogen system is appreciated
• Practical experiences in system simulation, system optimization and control strategy development is preferred
• Good knowledge on fuel cell and electrolysis stack and auxiliaries (BoP such as filter, compressor, humidifier, recirculation pump, radiator, coolant pump, as well as hydrogen storage) is preferred
• Broad knowledge on H2 industry from production to utilization is preferred
• Excellent communication skills, fluent in English (oral and written)
• Efficient, result-oriented, structured working style, experienced in project work
• Strong team player and passion for innovation
