PgP5 Plant is Bosch Group’s newest expansion in Malaysia a semiconductor test site in Batu Kawan Penang. The construction has begun in May 2021 and first series of production to commence in 2023. With the long-term forecasts for growth of semiconductor component quantities, coupled with the front-end production in Bosch’s Dresden facility in Germany, capacity expansion is required for the back-end production, which is the final testing phase of semiconductors and sensors. PgP5 will primarily focus on the final testing of components manufactured at Bosch Automotive Electronics’ fab in Dresden, Germany. The plant will also house R&D and training facilities.

Job Description
Job Overview
- To ensure mass-production capability of tester system for final testing of System-ICs.
- To ensure performance of Tester system incl. process to achieve KPI – Targets
- To implement and release new products, technologies and test program on Tester systems according to lead plant specification
- To improve continuously performance of Tester systems in combination complete testing unit
- To ensure Uptime/To reduce Unplanned downtime of Tester system
- To reduce budget for maintenance and spare parts for Tester system
What you'll do
- Overall interface and responsible for all tester system and test program topics
- Responsible for setting up complex test systems:
- Minor changes on existing test program according to test specifications
- release test program and test system according to release procedure
- Responsible for assuring readiness according to specifications and definition of maintenance and calibration plan. Also, secondary responsible to carry out the maintenance and calibration.
- Lead Tester and test program related trouble shooting, analysis, repair and documentation of downtime root-cause incl. localization of failures on test system also in combination with the complete testing unit, carries and products.
- Instruction of operators (as per Work Instructions) and service team (for corrective and preventive maintenance) in alignment with production management.
- Contact and cooperate with test system supplier in case of complex issues and for spare parts management
- Cooperation in the simultaneous engineering teams, project teams, 8D team (also lead teams) and hold lots dispose.
- First contact person for test system suppliers and engineering as equipment owner for all issues incl. appointments, technical discussions and questions, delivery dates.
- Responsible for tester system related documents: Work instructions, trouble-shooting guides, release and maintenance guideline, process FMEA, control plan, etc.
- Responsible for yield and test time target achievement and the improvement
- Analysis of Test data and MES to derive and implement optimizations regarding test time, yield and test depth
- Think out of the box to develop new data analysis and artificial intelligence solution for improvements.
- Execute any other related duties assigned by immediate supervisor from time to time.
Qualifications
What you'll need to succeed in this role
- Minimum 5 to 10 years working experience in the related field of semiconductor test
- At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or Software
- Good communication skills
- Able to work in a team for transferring technical known how.
- Accurate working
- Able to source off the shelf solution to meet production testing needs
- Able to analyze production/test problems and to resolve them
- Able to understand different programming languages
- Able to lead technical discussion together with product design team
- Able to lead a team of engineers in designing new test solution
- Able to instruct operators
- Able to implement lean processes
- Able to understand correlations quality, cost and delivery, derive cost saving measures
- Able to understand the correlations quality, cost and delivery
- Readiness to reduce Co2 according to company target
