Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Certified Training Manager serves as the primary relationship owner and operational lead for all Certified Training Center (CTC) locations across North America. The core function of this role is Train-the-Trainer delivery — equipping each distributor's Technical Service Manager (TSM) with product knowledge, instructional skills, and technical expertise needed to confidently train HVAC technicians on the full Bosch equipment portfolio. Beyond TSM development, this role is responsible for the performance, satisfaction, and growth of the CTC distributor network — ensuring that each subscriber receives maximum value from their partnership with the Ducted Systems Academy. Acting as the connective tissue between DSA and its CTC partners, this manager drives program consistency, resolves escalations, and champions the subscriber experience at every touchpoint.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Distributor Relationship Management
- Serve as the dedicated point of contact for all Certified Training Center (CTC) distributor subscribers throughout North America.
- Conduct regular check-ins and quarterly business reviews with each CTC location to assess satisfaction, utilization, and outcomes.
- Proactively identify and address subscriber concerns before they escalate; develop solutions that protect retention and strengthen loyalty.
- Build strong relationships with distributor principals, training managers, and key stakeholders at each CTC site.
- Communicate program updates, new offerings, and DSA initiatives clearly and consistently to all CTC partners.
Certified Training Center (CTC) Program Oversight & Quality Assurance
- Monitor training delivery standards across all CTC locations to ensure alignment with DSA curriculum, brand standards, and Bosch product accuracy.
- Conduct scheduled site visits to evaluate training environments, equipment, and instructor readiness.
- Review subscriber-submitted training reports, technician certification records, and completion data to verify program compliance.
- Identify underperforming CTC locations and implement corrective action plans in partnership with the Associate Director.
- Serve as the field liaison between DSA headquarters (Oklahoma City) and remote CTC sites.
Subscription & Account Management
- Track and manage subscription lifecycle for each CTC account including renewals, expansions, and at-risk accounts.
- Collaborate with the DSA to support subscription agreement compliance and addendum execution.
- Maintain accurate CTC account records in Bosch CRM systems; provide reporting on account health and engagement metrics.
- Support onboarding of new CTC locations including site readiness assessments, agreement execution, and initial setup coordination.
TSM Development & Train-the-Trainer Delivery
- Serve as the primary trainer for all distributor Technical Service Managers (TSMs) across the CTC network.
- Deliver comprehensive Train-the-Trainer sessions covering the full Bosch equipment portfolio — including installation, startup, troubleshooting, and maintenance procedures.
- Assess each TSM's technical baseline and customize training delivery to close knowledge gaps and build instructional confidence.
- Certify TSMs to deliver Bosch-approved training content independently within their CTC facility.
- Conduct follow-up evaluations and refresher training to ensure TSMs remain current as new products, firmware, or procedures are released.
- Develop and maintain TSM competency records and certification status for each CTC location.
- On an emergency basis, step in to deliver training directly to technicians at a CTC location when the distributor's TSM is unavailable, ensuring continuity of service for the subscriber.
Trainer & Resource Coordination
- Work with DSA content developers and trainers to ensure CTC partners have up-to-date materials, tools, and resources.
- Escalate complex technical or product questions to appropriate Bosch subject matter experts on behalf of CTC partners.
Strategic Network Growth & Geographic Planning
- Partner with DSA leadership to develop and execute a long-term strategy for expanding the Certified Training Center network across North America.
- Analyze geographic coverage gaps, technician population density, and distributor capacity to recommend optimal locations for new CTC sites.
- Ensure balanced coverage across all major North American regions so that no territory is underserved as the network scales.
- Evaluate prospective distributor partners for CTC readiness based on facility, staffing, market reach, and TSM capability.
- Maintain a living network map and coverage model that informs annual expansion targets and resource planning.
- Collaborate with regional Bosch sales teams to align CTC placement with territory growth priorities and distributor development plans.
Data, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Track key performance indicators across the CTC network include technician certifications, training hours, subscriber utilization, and NPS scores.
- Prepare quarterly reports on CTC program health for the Associate Director and DSA leadership.
- Gather and synthesize distributor feedback to inform curriculum updates, program enhancements, and DSA strategic planning.
- Maintain a working knowledge of HVAC industry trends, distributor business models, and competitive training programs to inform recommendations.
