About the role 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Field Operations Manager to lead Bluecurrent Electrical Services (BES) and help shape the future of field service delivery across New Zealand.

In this role, you’ll lead a geographically dispersed workforce and work with your team and contractors to deliver safe, reliable and customer-focused outcomes. You’ll have real scope to influence how we work- driving commercial performance, operational excellence and continuous improvement, while building a high-performing operation that supports our people, partners and customers. 

What success looks like in this role: 

• Lead BES to deliver safe, reliable and high-quality field services across New Zealand, creating strong outcomes for customers, contractors and our people.  
• Continuously improve productivity, utilisation and cost-to-serve through practical scheduling, clear priorities and effective day-to-day operational leadership.  
• Take ownership of commercial and operational performance, including rates, quality, service levels and health, safety and environmental outcomes.  
• Build confidence in delivery through clear performance governance, regular KPI rhythms, cost controls and benefits tracking.  
• Shape a fit-for-purpose operating model that supports growth, scalability and clear accountability across the BES operation.  
• Create clarity, momentum and collaboration across a geographically dispersed team enabling the team to deliver excellence. 

What you will bring 

You’ll bring experience leading operations in a field services or similarly complex environment, with the ability to balance commercial performance, people leadership and a strong commitment to health and safety. You will also ideally bring:  

• Experience leading a dispersed workforce across multiple locations. 
• Strong commercial discipline, including cost-to-serve, productivity and utilisation improvement. 
• Demonstrated experience managing contractors, subcontractors or field service providers. 
• A commitment to health, safety and environmental leadership and continuous improvement. 
• Strong stakeholder engagement, relationship-building and change leadership capability.
