About the Role

Shape the future of sustainability at Bluecurrent - building strong foundations, influencing strategy and creating lasting value from the ground up.

We have an exciting newly created opportunity for a Sustainability Manager to join our team. This isn't a traditional sustainability reporting role. Initially, you will build Bluecurrent’s sustainability foundations by strengthening governance, reporting, data, frameworks, systems and ways of working that support future growth.

As Bluecurrent's sustainability capability matures, you'll continue to strengthen the foundations while shaping what comes next. You'll provide strategic leadership, influence decision-making, advance sustainability priorities, drive customer, and commercial opportunities, and embed sustainability into the way we operate, innovate, and grow.

What success looks like in this role:

  • Sustainability governance, reporting, data and management frameworks are established, scalable and embedded across the business.
  • Sustainability commitments are translated into practical, measurable outcomes that support business performance and stakeholder expectations.
  • Strong partnerships are built across the business, with sustainability increasingly embedded into planning and decision-making.
  • Customers, investors and stakeholders recognise sustainability as a source of value and competitive advantage.
  • Opportunities to improve, innovate and strengthen sustainability capability are identified and delivered.

What you'll bring

We're looking for someone with strong sustainability experience, a curious mindset, and a focus on building capability to create meaningful business impact. Ideally, you'll bring:

  • 4–7 years' experience in sustainability, ESG, climate, environmental, or related roles within a large corporate, energy, utilities, infrastructure, property, manufacturing, or financial services environment.
  • Hands-on experience delivering sustainability reporting, climate disclosures, governance, ESG programmes, and investor or regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Knowledge of carbon accounting, emissions management, and climate-related reporting, with exposure to frameworks such as CRD, ASRS, GRESB, CDP, SBTi, TCFD, or similar
  • Experience supporting customer engagement, tenders and commercial initiatives, with an understanding of how sustainability creates business and customer value.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to translate complex sustainability concepts into practical business outcomes.

If you're ready to help shape the future of sustainability at Bluecurrent, apply now!

If you require assistance or accessibility support from us during the application and selection process, please call us on +64 9 978 7792.
