Job Description

The Quality Process Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing technical, quality and process specifications for ASC Profiles LLC Operations. This includes tracking and reporting production key metrics on a daily and monthly basis, leading quality and yield improvement activities, supporting quality investigations, and implementing manufacturing excellence tools and best practices. They drive problem solving to meet internal and external customer concerns as well as support Operations and Quality Systems on vendor specifications and performance. 

The incumbent will serve as a resource to ASC Steel Deck and ASC Building Products locations. Position predominantly located in Kalama, WA, will travel approximately 30% of time, including overnight travel, to support other locations. 

Primary duties  & responsibilities:- 

  • Support operations teams with data analysis, product inspection, troubleshoot equipment, and other activities to help drive improvement initiatives for productivity and quality KPIs. 
  • Communicate with Manufacturing Manager, Production Lead, and associates / serve as site leadership support and assist Plant Manager or Production Lead.  
  • Lead and support the development of corrective actions, both internal and customer driven, to eliminate defects, minimize product variability and develop best practices. 
  • On a daily basis facilitate and support self-directed work teams in reaching consensus with respect to process improvements, material dispositions, production delays, etc.   
  • Develop and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and training material to transfer appropriate process, quality, and safety knowledge to associates. 
  • Lead and support continuous improvement/manufacturing excellent projects through team efforts. Write and champion capital projects. 
  • Support the resolution of vendor supply issues. 
  • Assisting with all safety issues related to production and ensure that safety goals are achieved. Engaging associates in all aspects of safety, meetings, conversations, and incident reporting. 

Qualifications

Minimum:- 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or Operations Management or related field.
  • 2+ years process or quality systems experience in industrial manufacturing   

 Preferred:-

  • 4+ years process or quality systems experience in industrial manufacturing   
  • SAP Experience  
  • Proven project management or project leadership support in manufacturing environment  
  • Experience in steel or aluminum roll forming

Pay Range: $77,211 - $115,817 annually
