This position supports our coil coating line, BlueScope Coated Products LLC, (formerly Metal Coaters, LLC). 

As a member of the BCP Maintenance team, the Engineer I directs the design and installation of new or replacement equipment, manages capital improvement activities, develops standards for reliability and guidelines for engineering and maintenance activities on said equipment, ensures engineering drawings and technical information are kept up to date for equipment identified.

In addition, the Engineer I is also responsible for designing and implementing engineering solutions to address identified safety and environmental hazards. Focus areas are included but not limited to:

• Identify and implement process equipment improvement utilizing a reliability-based maintenance philosophy.
• Lead the design and development of projects within the plant
• Partner with maintenance, production and quality to design and implement solutions for identified safety hazards and risks.
• Provide direction to maintenance associates and contract labor.

Required: 

• Completing study for a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

Preferred:

• Graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 1 year of industrial maintenance engineer experience.
