Job Description
The Finance department ensures the company’s leadership team is provided with timely, high quality and accurate financial information and advice regarding actual, forecasted and budgeted results. This information is critical to support business decisions via identification and analysis of key business drivers and evaluation of cost/benefit analysis and business improvement options.
The Senior Financial Analyst provides monthly reporting of financial results for the engineering group, including advice regarding actual, forecast and budgeted results and key performance indicators. The Senior Analyst also assists with strategic planning and coordinating with the broader business. Additionally, the Senior Financial Analyst recommends and/or makes business and financial data analytic improvements to improve commercial results and to streamline activities
- Ensure monthly reporting of financial results for each of the segments is delivered timely, and provide advice regarding actual, forecast and budgeted results
- Providing actionable insights and recommendations to top management and segment GM’s based on the 80/20 analysis, enabling them to make data-driven decisions that align with the organization's financial goals and priorities.
- Deliver continuous improvement in the quality of the management and financial reporting systems and outputs for the Segments with particular emphasis on improving data integrity and timeliness
- Provide timely ad-hoc analysis and support for assigned segments/sub-segments
- Analyzing financial data to identify the critical 20% of factors that have the most significant impact on financial performance and business outcomes.
- Support the increased safety focus and improved performance for the Segmented businesses
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Accounting degree or related degree
- 5-7 years of relevant experience
Preferred:
- CPA certification
- MBA degree
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- Construction and Manufacturing Operations experience
- Data visualization and analytics experience (Power BI or Tableau)
- Experience with data-driven decision making and Pareto analysis (Segmentation)
- Strong understanding and practical application of the 80/20 rule
