The Manager, Procurement Digital Enablement sits right at the centre of that shift. 

We’re looking for someone who wants to move beyond incremental change and build enterprise capability from the ground up, shaping how procurement works, how teams use data, and how value is delivered at scale. 

Procurement is at a turning point within BlueScope. As we evolve our operating model, there is a clear opportunity to create a more connected digitally enabled function. 

As Manager, Procurement Digital Enablement, you will: 

• Define how technology and data accelerate procurement performance 

• Turn strategy into a practical, prioritised roadmap 

• Help teams move from manual, fragmented ways of working to simpler, smarter and more scalable solutions 

• Play a key role in building a future ready procurement capability across regions 

This is not a pure systems role, it’s about translating business needs into real, usable solutions that people adopt and rely on. 

This role can be based in Melbourne (CBD), Sydney (Mascot) or Port Kembla 

Key Responsibilities 

You’ll work across procurement, IT and regional teams to bring structure, clarity and momentum to digital enablement. 

In practice, that means: 

• Owning the procurement digital and data roadmap, aligned to business priorities 

• Deciding what to do, when, and why based on value, risk and impact 

• Acting as the bridge between procurement and technology, shaping solutions that actually work for the business 

• Driving adoption, ensuring tools are used consistently and deliver measurable outcomes 

• Improving reporting, data quality and visibility so better decisions can be made, faster 

• Supporting teams through change, making it easier for people to work differently, not harder 

Over time, you’ll help create: 

• A procurement function that is more efficient, more transparent and more data-driven 

• Stronger visibility across spend, suppliers and performance 

• Technology that is embedded in everyday workflows, not sitting on the sidelines 

• A scalable foundation for future capabilities like automation, advanced analytics and smarter decision-making 

You don’t need to have done this exact role before, but you’ll recognise yourself in this type of work.  

You’re someone who: 

• Has led or contributed to digital, systems or transformation initiatives 

• Is comfortable working between business teams and technology teams 

• Can take something complex and make it simple, structured and usable 

• Understands that success isn’t just building solutions — it’s getting people to adopt them 

• Is confident working with data, reporting and process improvement 

• Brings a practical, outcomes-focused mindset 

Experience in procurement or supply chain is valuable, but equally important is your ability to drive change and deliver value through technology. 

Experience in manufacturing, resources or similarly complex operational environments will be highly regarded.
