In this role, you will conduct supplier outreach, explain approved electronic payment options, facilitate enrollment, and coordinate with business customers and internal teams to resolve questions and manage exceptions.  The ideal candidate brings direct supplier enablement experience, professional phone and email communication skills, and the ability to manage a high volume of cases accurately while supporting broader payment conversion goals.

  • Duration: Approximately a 12-month consulting role with the possibility of extension (must be able to work on Blend’s W2 without sponsorship)
  • Benefits: We do offer benefits to our full-time consultants, including Health, Vision, Dental, 401K plan, Life Insurance, Pretax Commuter Benefits, and an incredibly supportive team cheering you on!

What you’ll do:

Supplier Outreach & Electronic Payment Conversion

  • Conduct proactive outbound phone and email outreach to suppliers assigned to payment conversion campaigns.
  • Explain approved electronic payment options, their benefits, and applicable program requirements.
  • Communicate with each business customer's payment strategy and relevant operating guidelines clearly and professionally.
  • Answer supplier questions, address common concerns, and help suppliers understand the steps required to adopt electronic payment methods.
  • Manage follow-up activities to move each supplier through enrollment, closure, or formal handoff.
  • Support campaign objectives by encouraging supplier participation and adoption of electronic payment solutions.

Supplier Research & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Review assigned supplier records and verify available contact information and payment details.
  • Research supplier questions and provide timely, accurate responses within established guidelines.
  • Coordinate communication among business customers, suppliers, and internal financial institution teams.
  • Identify questions or situations that fall outside standard procedures and route them to the appropriate team.
  • Escalate commercial, technical, policy, compliance, and other nonstandard issues as needed.

Enrollment, Documentation & Case Management

  • Enroll suppliers when their circumstances align with established operating procedures and approved guidelines.
  • Identify exceptions and route nonstandard enrollment requests to the designated team for review and resolution.
  • Maintain accurate records of supplier outreach, responses, enrollment progress, follow-up requirements, and final case status.
  • Track assigned cases through completion or handoff, ensuring appropriate documentation and follow-through.
  • Provide accurate activity data to support monthly reporting, campaign tracking, and overall program performance.
  • Manage multiple supplier cases and follow-up activities while maintaining productivity, accuracy, and attention to detail.

Compliance & Quality

  • Follow applicable policies, procedures, operating guides, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
  • Apply approved solutions consistently and recognize when additional review or escalation is required.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in a regulated financial services environment.
  • Balance productivity and responsiveness with careful execution across repetitive, high-volume workflows.
  • Work independently while following client priorities, established processes, and escalation procedures.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in client service, sales, operations, financial services, payments, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of direct supplier enablement experience supporting electronic payment adoption.
  • Professional outbound calling or sales experience, including the ability to communicate effectively with business contacts.
  • Experience in supporting supplier onboarding, business payments, commercial cards, ACH, Treasury Management, accounts payable, or payment conversion initiatives is preferred.
  • Experience working with a bank, payment provider, fintech organization, or large corporate payments program is a plus.
  • Experience in a regulated or compliance-driven environment is preferred.

  • Clear and effective business email writing and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Ability to explain processes and payment options in straightforward, easy-to-understand terms.
