Job Description
Head of Customer & Market Insights (CMI) and New Product Planning (NPP) and Multichannel Excellence (MCE) will be responsible for oversee CMI, NPP and MCE strategy in China affiliate. You will be responsible for the early commercial strategy, opportunity assessment and competitive analysis to support potential future commercial launches of Biogen’s pipeline assets in China. He/she will be responsible for providing commercial assessments on assets in development ranging from Phase II to Phase III. He/she will partner closely with the Global Organization (Global Product Development/Commercialization teams, Global Market Research, Regulatory, etc.) to drive the early strategic analysis and approach to Biogen launch plans in China.
- Forecasting & Analytics
- Drive the strategic forecasting process for all TAs from a market and Biogen patient perspective
- Generate deep customer and market insights and drive decision meetings to ensure business priorities are continuously evaluated with Leadership
- Lead market and competitor assessments identifying future threats, opportunities, risks or challenges to ensure that adequately actioned in the strategy.
- Proactive drive the Customer and Market insights development through the Global CMI leadership team through close partnering with Global PDC teams across all TAs.
- Develop effective forecasting models and tools, guidance and communication tools that drive key business processes, Forecasts, Long-Range Plan, Annual Operating Plan, Board of Director & Executive Leadership
- Advise and participate in the Pricing Council, ICP Process (Market Mapping, Market Outlook), Segmentation, Targeting, SIC planning, SF Sizing,
- Accountable for development of patient methodologies and monthly reporting for all BUs to ensure efficient and robust reporting on market and patient numbers and shares.
- Lead and innovate the Patient focused strategy by ensuring that Patient Journeys in the centre of key business priorities
- Lead strong partnership with Compliance, Legal and Procurement to ensure robust data (primary and secondary) collation and dissemination.
- Performance Reporting
- Lead the development and execution of consistent and focused business reporting, integrating both key Performance Outcome Metrics and integrated with Key Business Execution Metrics.
- Develop guidance and alignment across markets on key customer and market dynamics to inform strong business planning assumptions and increased predictability and understanding of business outcomes.
- Drives integrated performance reporting and customer engagement analytics leveraging innovative tools and channels
- Market research
- Deliver high quality and consistent market research
- Lead Customer Journey Mapping projects to ensure Customer Engagement Strategy and Customer Experiences plan are informed by critical interaction points and critical patient needs in the customer journey.
- Lead agile approaches to leverage internal customer facing employees to gather insights, closed learning loops, customer experience measures.
- Provide timely and facilitate discussion on insights to leadership teams that identifies and accelerates increased performance/value
- Align and execute with Global CMI global research executed in the affiliate
- Multichannel Excellence
- Be the primary contact for the Global MCE Centre of Excellence (CoE) team, partnering through all phases of planning and design activities in developing the overall customer engagement strategies for the brands.
- Provide multi-channel/digital subject matter expertise in defining and driving the customer engagement strategy as part of a unified customer experience platform to ensure digital communication is strategically planned and aligned with plans.
- Creates, updates and evolves a local multichannel excellence strategy, in alignment with Local, Regional and Global strategic imperatives. Orchestrates the creation and roll out of Multichannel (MC) projects.
- Work closely with legal/compliance to ensure all activities meet company and local China legal and code requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or above, MBA Preferred
- Good Mandarin and English for verbal and written communications
- Solid Product management experience in MNC Pharma, including launching of new products with strong understanding of China pharma market and policy trend.
- Comprehensive understanding of multichannel / digital market knowledge and trend, AI/digital experience
- Strategic perspective and ability to develop a financially sound business case.
- Demonstrated ability to informally lead multifunctional teams.
- Ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels, internally and externally.
- Self-starter with a track record demonstrating accountability, ability to multi-task and sense of urgency.
- Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical, communication and project management skills to effectively translate ideas and insights into actionable plans
- Demonstrated ability to create clear local commercial strategies and work across functions to facilitate seamless global/local execution
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence across multiple functions.
