Job Description

Are you a dynamic and strategic professional with a passion for creating impactful access solutions in the healthcare sector? Join us as the Head of Value & Access (V&A) for the GCC region, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Biogen’s portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Map, manage, and engage with external stakeholders across the GCC to drive effective access strategies.
  • Team Leadership: Lead the V&A team across the GCC, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.
  • Strategic Negotiation: Develop and execute negotiation strategies for Biogen’s portfolio, including price negotiations and localization of value dossiers.
  • Governance Representation: Represent the GCC affiliate at Biogen International Region pricing council and other governance bodies.
  • Leadership Team Participation: Be an integral member of the GCC Leadership Team, contributing to high-level decision-making.
  • Primary Contact: Serve as the main point of contact for access-related queries in the GCC.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Global Coordination: Collaborate with global and regional counterparts to implement Value & Access strategies for the GCC markets.
  • Stakeholder Engagement Planning: Create and execute plans for stakeholder mapping and engagement.
  • Product Lifecycle Strategy: Develop and execute strategies for product launches, including pricing and access schemes.
  • Budget Coordination: Oversee affiliate-level budgets to support reimbursement and market access evidence generation.
  • External Engagement: Work closely with key stakeholders such as civil servants, payers, and civil society representatives.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Economics, Public Health, Health Care, or a related field.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience in influencing, strategic planning, and problem-solving.
  • Technical expertise in Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR), including cost-effectiveness modeling, patient-reported outcomes, and real-world outcomes studies.
  • Strong understanding of payer environments, including coverage, reimbursement, value drivers, formulary management, and health policy.
  • Experience engaging with official agencies and developing payer policies and strategies.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical product development and commercialization.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and foster collaboration across functions.
  • Experience managing teams and supporting pricing and reimbursement negotiations.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic.
