About This Role

Senior Finance Analyst is responsible for the planning and controlling of Polish Affiliate in cost centers that roll up in the P&L of Europe. Role includes planning, reporting and month end close activities of specific cost centers, as well as business partnership to provide cost centers managers and functional lead visibility and support to manage investments.

What you will do

Planning

  • Develop and enhance cost controlling of the affiliate, including the spending of the commercial and medical teams
  • Lead the monthly reviews and forecasting of External Expenses
  • Controlling of actuals vs. budget/forecast
  • Participate in budget and team meetings to drive planning
  • Overall process optimization

Reporting & Cost

  • Monthly reporting to the head of function, cost center owner and budget owner 
  • Monthly update of Cost Center Reports 
  • Variance analysis for External Expenses and explanation for each cost center
  • Provide transactional details on a PO / Project level to help budget owners track and trace their investments
  • FTE census review to check proper employees cost center coding
  • Maintain, control and continuously improve reporting

PO Governance and invoice validations

  • Assists budget owner in the PO process by providing accounting instructions and by advising if an expense is within budget
  • Perform sanity and budget checks on purchase orders
  • Verification of invoices

Month-end Closing process

  • PO reports preparations to be sent to cost center owners to do PO receipts and review open PO reports
  • Provide information for non-PO accruals, reclassifications 
  • Review of contractor’s payroll coding and calculation

Qualifications

Required skills

  • 2-3 years’ experience in a similar position
  • Experience in biotech industry is an asset
  • Pro knowledge of MS Office 365 (PPT, Excel, OneNote)
  • Pro knowledge of reporting tools eg. Power BI, Hyperion
  • Solid experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP or comparable systems)
  • Polish and English language are a must
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics
  • Independent, proactive individual
  • Very good communication skills
