Job Description
This individual is accountable to the customers and stakeholders within the US Commercial Organization to deliver data & analytics services accurately and consistently. You will be responsible for coordinating with the Omnichannel team across therapies for relevant data and analytic needs. You will be a single point of contact for relevant/ marketing data sourcing, governance activities applicable to the OCE team, strategy, and access needs. You will also support the operational analytics team by aiding in prioritizing work requested by the OCE team and assisting with PowerBI reporting requirements/inquiries. You will be proactively working with internal and external customers to identify areas of opportunity and will be highly responsive to inbound questions and requests.
Strategic direction-setting, project management, customer enablement, and consistent and timely communications, are key priorities to ensure success in this position. Further, technical fluency and the ability to effectively communicate with your colleagues is a requirement to support daily operations and planned enhancement/project activities.
The Functional Lead will have strong communication skills. This individual will work proactively with customers to identify areas of opportunity and will be highly responsive to inbound questions and requests. The OCE FL will connect directly with their customers to understand business and organizational priorities and jointly develop user stories and functional requirements.
What You will do
Represent the US D&A team and our defined data framework and data capabilities:
• Partner with Master Data Management, Governance and Operational Analytics leads to prioritize tasks & deliverables within US D&A and provide transparent and timely communications back to customers and stakeholders
• Partner with the Operational Analytics team (within US D&A) to support discovery, development, testing & build activities within PowerBI, for OCE specific dashboard activities
• Involvement in the design, development, and implementation of CIM data (and metrics) initiatives
• Coordinate with IT for database object builds areas for optimization and data quality assurance
• Possess strong technical literacy with the ability to connect business needs to technical capabilities and willingness to learn innovative technologies
• Provide customer service and engagement including verbal and written communication with an emphasis on empathy, ownership and attention to stakeholder needs
• Include recommendations and strategic options to improve efficiency and performance
• Implement strategic objectives and related tactical activities to improve internal operations and to drive continuous improvement
• Possess a strong understanding of digital marketing activities and engagement measurement in a pharmaceutical/life sciences context
• Liaise extensively across US D&A, IT, and analytics teams across the organization and represent our team on various analytics and insights projects with transparency
• Undertake activities that involve understanding new datasets, modeling the data in an optimal way to support reporting use cases, and creating reporting deliverables

Qualifications
Required Skills
• 7+ years equivalent work experience in managing data-related activities within a commercial organization
• Using SQL and databases (Snowflake preferred) in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
• Providing comprehensive BI solutions including requirements gathering, data modeling, data quality check, and report and dashboard development using Power BI
• Using industry-standard business intelligence (BI) tools (including Power BI), Business Objects, Qlik Sense, Tableau) to formulate metrics and to create data quality management assessments and tools to perform ad hoc data inquiries
• Analyzing data and reporting requirements to recommend and design reporting solutions through the creation of appropriate database structures, reports, and query structures.
• Working cross-functionally with commercial, medical, data science, or IT teams, and directing multi-functional projects within matrixed reporting structures.
• Technical capabilities with MS Office Suite (PPT, XLS, Vizio (including Pivot Tables, Charts, and VLOOKUP).
• Translating complex data sets into actionable reporting frameworks and models to enable key performance indicator (KPI) visualization that supports high performance for end-users.
• Experience with Pharmaceutical data assets & vendors; knowledge of commercial analytics (Sales, Marketing, Managed Markets)
• Bachelor’s Degree Required
