About This Role:
The Area Business Manager’s main responsibilities are to maximize the success sales and profits of Biogen’ biosimilar products by developing and executing strategic account plans at the local level, in alignment with Biogen’s Code of Conduct, compliance and regulatory standards.

- Utilize resources internally to analyze territory and/or marketplace performance, identifying customer needs, defining, and executing effective action plans, implementing local marketing strategies; organizing and activating face to face and virtual customer meetings with Health Care Professional (HCPs) and Account Staff that drive business opportunities.
- Develop and execute an effective territory business plan to further strengthen and maximize territory sales and profits.
- Build and strengthen business opportunities through successful targeting and segmentation of HCPs and Account Staff, working in collaboration with Strategic Account Executives to ensure optimal HCP/Account alignment.
- Drive business needs and US Biogen biosimilars utilization in assigned accounts, ensuring academic center/institutional formulary inclusion.
- Partner with and work collaboratively/compliantly with all applicable teams across the US Biosimilar Business Unit including Strategic Accounts, Marketing, Market Access & Reimbursement, Patient Services and Medical, to support territory activities through expert engagement and support.
- Ensure that US Biosimilars Business Unit market share is maximized within new and existing Accounts.
- Ensure all interactions and activities, both internal and external are in-line with all compliance regulations and territory budgets.

Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of pharmaceutical sales/health care, or like experience.
- Buy & Bill, and specialty distribution experience within the injectable/infusion marketplace, preferred.
- Experience within Ophthalmology, Immunology biologic marketplace highly desirable.
- A successful track record in field reimbursement, clinical education or in pharmaceutical sales/management of products that required significant payer and reimbursement support.
- Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of reimbursement (coding, coverage, and reimbursement).
- Demonstrated outstanding work ethic, relationship management skills, project management skills, and an ability to manage multiple tasks at a time.
- Biosimilars background and experience is preferrable.
- BS/BA Required, MBA Preferred, preferably in sciences medicine, pharmacy, chemistry, biology.
- Local territory language is a must, and Proficiency in English is desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Position and level are commensurate with experience.
The base compensation range for Sr Area Business Manager is $124,500 to 180,500. The base compensation range for Area Business Manager is $113,600 – $ 153,400. Base salary is determined by a combination of factors including, but not limited to, job-related years of relevant experience, internal equity, and location of the job. Additionally, this role is eligible for participation in Biogen’s LTI grants and other incentive programs.
