About This Role

This role will be responsible for financial support of our clinical pipeline at a program and study/trial level. You will partner with our Global Clinical Operations (GCO) team and R&D functional stakeholders to support robust study planning (i.e. clinical trial costing, long range planning, annual planning, continuous reforecasting). Additionally, this person is expected to work with our external vendors (including CROs) in establishing and managing our financial forecasts.

This role will provide financial insight to the Clinical Development Plan (CDP) and study estimates to ensure efficient allocation of capital and program dollars. Future career growth opportunities include late-stage R&D program level financial ownership, strategic financial planning, supporting business development opportunities, and presenting to upper level management.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage forecasting needs for early-stage clinical assets with alignment across several key business stakeholders
  • Utilize appropriate analytics and benchmarks to produce an accurate, quality study model that is updated regularly
  • Responsible for meeting all corporate timelines & processes associated with forecasts (AOP, LRP, and quarterly interim reports)
  • Analyze historical spend and propose solutions for cost containment; identify financial inefficiencies & opportunities for improvement
  • Maintain constant fiscal vigilance on program spend & trends; support business planning partners where necessary
  • Serve as a key financial partner to study teams & Global Clinical Operations partners

Who You Are

You are a person who is passionate about finance and have an interest in biopharma and the drug development process. You enjoy working with multifunctional teams and being the “go to” representative for Finance. You do not shy away from challenges and are interested in developing a strong FP&A skillset. You are an independent, out of the box thinker with attention to detail, yet a proven ability to maintain an “80/20” mindset.

    Qualifications

    Required Skills

    • 2+ years of work experience in finance or highly analytical function
    • Proficient in Excel, Word, and Powerpoint
    • BS/BA required

    Preferred Skills

    • Biotech, Pharma, and/or drug development experience preferred
    • Hyperion/Essbase experience preferred
