What you'll do:

As Senior Associate Corporate Communications you will work across the breadth of the affiliate and collaborate with the Head of External Affairs in implementing the ANZ corporate and internal communication strategies for broad stakeholder engagement to raise a positive profile of Biogen and support engagement of employees. As with everything we do - positive patient outcomes underpin our organisational culture so you will manage projects that cultivate alliances, partnership opportunities and advocacy in response to patient needs as well as working on developing insight-led programs that bring about change. 

You will have the expertise to execute the following reponsibilities:

  • Helping to drive our corporate profiling initiatives that build trust and reputation in the organisation
  • Developing and managing strategic plans to deliver content and updates for Biogen ANZ’s social platforms and websites including LinkedIn
  • Managing and guiding teams on the company’s role and use of social media including employee training
  • Supporting the development of annual strategic internal communication plans and content 
  • Providing support for external-facing stakeholder engagements; event management, correspondence, filing, pitch processes, supplier/agency management 
  • Assisting with media management 

And much more! It is also worth noting that the organisational structure here is reasonably flat so there is plenty of opportunity to be seized.

Qualifications

Who you are:

To demonstrate success as our Senior Associate Corporate Communications you will be a gun at what you do, and people will seek you out. You are driven and have the ability and willingness to take the initiative rather than wait for instruction. You will come to work focused and once you understand our business you can apply a strong level of focus on our business plan deliverables. You will be degree qualified, preferably in communications/business and/or sciences and have 2-3 years experience within a Corporate /Public Affairs setting. Exposure to PR in the pharmaceutical industry would be highly advantageous too.

  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle competing demands
  • Be a confident wordsmith with great attention to detail
  • Strong project management skills 
  • Experience in social media content planning and execution
