Job Description

The role

The Community Development Manager is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, partnerships and markets that support Beyond Bank Australia’s growth strategy. With a focus on the community and B Corp sectors, the role builds and manages strategic relationships that create shared value, strengthen brand presence and deliver sustainable commercial outcomes across products and services including business banking, lending, wealth, insurance and salary packaging.

Working collaboratively across the organisation, the Community Development Manager drives community engagement initiatives, partnerships and programs that enhance Beyond Bank’s reputation and visibility in local communities. The role plays a key part in achieving business growth and financial targets while ensuring a high-quality experience for community partners, members and stakeholders, in line with the Bank’s values, policies and strategic objectives.

In this role, you will

  • Identify, develop and convert new business opportunities, partnerships and community programs that drive growth across business banking, lending, wealth, insurance and salary packaging.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community organisations, businesses, industry bodies and internal stakeholders to create shared value and increase brand advocacy.
  • Develop and execute regional business development and community engagement plans that support customer acquisition, partnership growth and portfolio objectives.
  • Enhance Beyond Bank’s brand presence by leading community partnerships, events, initiatives and programs that strengthen awareness and community impact.
  • Manage regional financial performance by achieving growth targets, retaining key relationships, increasing product penetration and operating within budget parameters.
  • Collaborate across the organisation to deliver exceptional outcomes for community partners while promoting a strong culture of risk management, compliance, safety and purpose-led leadership.

 

Qualifications

About you

  •  You are an experienced business development and relationship management professional with a proven ability to build strategic partnerships and deliver sustainable growth outcomes.
  • You are a confident communicator and storyteller, with strong presentation and business writing skills and the ability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders.
  • You have strong commercial acumen and can develop and execute strategic business development plans that create value for customers, partners and the organisation.
  • You excel at building trusted relationships, collaborating across teams and identifying opportunities that strengthen community engagement and brand presence.
  • You are highly organised and proactive, with experience delivering events, programs and initiatives that drive meaningful community and business outcomes.
