Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Warehouse Equipment Trainer to lead the development and delivery of equipment operator training programs across our warehouse operations. This role is responsible for ensuring employees are trained, certified, and competent in the safe and efficient operation of powered industrial trucks and warehouse equipment.

The ideal candidate combines extensive hands-on warehouse equipment experience with exceptional coaching, communication, and leadership skills. This individual will establish training standards, mentor new operators, conduct performance evaluations, maintain compliance documentation, and foster a culture of safety and operational excellence.

YOUR TASKS

  • Deliver classroom and hands-on training for warehouse employees operating powered industrial equipment.
  • Evaluate, certify, and recertify operators through written and practical assessments.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and refresher training to support safe and efficient equipment operation.
  • Develop and maintain training materials, procedures, and certification programs to meet operational needs.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and warehouse safety standards.
  • Monitor operator performance, identify skill gaps, and partner with leadership on employee development plans.
  • Maintain accurate training records, certifications, completion tracking, and compliance reporting.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Safety, HR, and Quality teams to support onboarding, workforce development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for powered industrial equipment training and warehouse safety best practices.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred).
  • 5–10+ years of warehouse equipment operating experience.
  • 3–5+ years of equipment training or instructor experience.
  • Demonstrated experience operating multiple types of powered industrial equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and material handling.
  • Experience creating and delivering training programs.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and documentation abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
  • Ability to coach employees with varying experience levels.
