We are looking for a Risk Analyst – B2B for our Risk Analytics team in the Client Underwriting Unit with a hands-on attitude that is keen to have an impact on our risk assessment by mitigating risk in terms of affordability / solvency for the B2B end customer in a balanced risk decision environment.
The focus of the team lies on contributing to the definition of our risk strategy in the B2B space, its (further) development and the constant monitoring and steering according to it.
In line with Riverty's overarching vision to become the most human-centric FinTech, the Risk Analytics team develops appropriate customer risk strategies for different markets and ecosystems. The organization is characterized by technology-based rapid learning and decision-making cycles and guided by a strong common purpose to jointly create value for all stakeholders. Strong footprint in DACH/NL & Nordics with further expansion ambition within Europe, e. g. UK , Italy.
The main responsibilities are:
- Lead the redesign of B2B underwriting models, including scorecards, decision engines, rule sets, and rating methodologies.
- Continuous improvement of underlying data analysis and existing business processes to support our B2B product expansion in new countries.
- Build harmonized multi-country credit frameworks while adapting strategies to local market dynamics, regulations, and data availability.
- Establish best practices for ad-hoc & deep-dive analyses.
- Partner with Data Science to build and deploy next-generation ML-based credit models for customers in the B2B space.
- Enhance reporting frameworks, dashboards, and risk KPIs to support leadership decision-making.
- You will work in close collaboration with other functions such as Risk Product, Fraud Risk Steering, Data Science, Finance, etc.
- The function is reporting into the Risk Analytics & Steering Lead, which is reporting into the Functional Unit Lead for Client Underwriting.
- The location is flexible, preferred locations are Germany (Berlin, Verl), Luxembourg or the Netherlands (Amsterdam, Heerenveen).
Qualifications
What you should bring:
- Significant experience in B2B risk analytics, ideally within BNPL, lending, payments, or fintech.
- Relevant experience in a credit risk management environment.
- Expertise in using various programming languages (SQL / Python / R) to perform complex analytical tasks.
- Experience in working in an international, agile, cross-functional environment.
- You embrace new technology and understand the potential of data and advanced analytics.
- You are a strategic thinker with vision and a strong operator - you get things done.
- Language: English (mandatory); German or Dutch is a plus.
