Product Operator – AI-Powered Customer Experiences (m/f/d)

Millions of people each year end up in difficult financial situations. How they are treated in those moments matters, and technology can make it better.
As a Product Operator within our BU Collection, you'll shape and build digital customer experiences across chat, voice, and customer portals. You will combine product ownership with hands-on technical execution, helping us rapidly turn ideas into impactful customer solutions.
This role is ideal for candidates with a background in software engineering, AI, or automation who want to work at the intersection of Product Management and Development. You'll collaborate closely with Platform Engineering, AI Engineering, Operations, Data, Compliance, and Corporate AI teams to drive innovation and deliver measurable outcomes.
Your responsibilities will be:
- Define and drive product initiatives across digital customer interaction channels
- Translate customer needs and technical capabilities into scalable solutions
- Analyze and optimize key user journeys such as payments, installment plans, disputes, and status inquiries
- Build prototypes, automate workflows, and validate ideas through rapid experimentation
- Work hands-on with AI-driven technologies, APIs, and platform services to accelerate product delivery
- Drive end-to-end execution from discovery to launch and continuous optimization
- Define and track key performance metrics to improve customer experience and business outcomes
- Coordinate cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Data, Compliance, Customer Service, and Corporate AI
Qualifications
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Product Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 3–5+ years of experience in software engineering, AI engineering, technical product management, or similar technical roles
- Strong understanding of modern technologies, including AI-driven systems, automation, and APIs
- Ability to combine strategic product thinking with hands-on execution and problem-solving
- Experience working in cross-functional and international environments
- Ability to bring structure and prioritization to ambiguous domains with multiple dependencies
- Interest in building consumer-facing products that solve real-world problems in a regulated environment
- Business fluent English is required; German skills are a plus
