The Production Operator is responsible for carrying out pre-batching, blending and produce batches in accordance with defined processing instructions and quality standards. The role involves operating production equipment, handling materials safely, maintaining cleanliness and housekeeping standards and ensuring compliance with safety, quality and environmental requirements within the manufacturing process.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

• Perform pre-batching, blending and mixing of raw materials as per approved batch slips and processing instructions.
• Conduct pre-batch inspections and continuously monitor batches to ensure correct grind, mix and consistency.
• Select and accurately incorporate raw materials based on written or printed instructions.
• Use appropriate measuring and weighing devices to ensure precise material quantities.
• Refill the mix tanks and ensure proper material flow.
• Operate mixers, pumps, scales and other production equipment safely and efficiently.
• Carry out cleaning of mixers, pumps, hoses, tanks and other machinery as per cleaning procedures.
• Safely operate forklifts, drum handling equipment and material handling tools (where authorized).
• Participate in housekeeping activities to maintain a clean, safe and organized work environment.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area in line with company and management standards.
• Follow all safety, quality and environmental procedures applicable to the industry.
• Represent the company professionally and uphold company values at all times.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor/ Assistant Manager - Production

Integrated Management System (IMS) Responsibilities:

• Recognize and observe IMS policy.
• Comply with integrated management system (IMS) policy to improve work process.
• Comply and implement the controls required to mitigate the risks involved in the workplaces and surrounding areas.
• Implement EHS and Energy Operational controls in the workplace.

• High School / ITI / Diploma (Mechanical, Chemical, or related field preferred)/ UG - Arts & Science.
• 1- 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in coil coating, paints, coatings, chemicals or similar industries
• Having experience in manual operations ( Manual Drum handling using tilter, Liquid transfer using hand pump / gravity, Powder or dry chemical weighing by manual method, Housekeeping post operation).
• To be fit mentally and physically.
• Knowledge of safe handling of raw materials and chemicals.
• Strong focus on safety, quality and housekeeping.
• Team player with good communication skills
