Job Description
Based in Wetherill Park, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities while strengthening relationships with existing customers throughout your territory.
Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will develop and execute growth strategies, increase market penetration, and partner closely with internal teams to achieve sales and revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans to drive revenue growth
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within trade and wholesale markets
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and industry stakeholders
- Conduct market research and analyse industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs
- Develop compelling proposals and present tailored solutions to prospective customers
- Negotiate and close high-value sales opportunities and commercial agreements
- Work collaboratively with branch teams, marketing, product, finance, and key account teams
- Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to support business decisions
- Monitor customer performance and identify opportunities for increased engagement and growth
- Maintain accurate reporting on pipeline activity, sales results, and market opportunities
- Travel throughout the region as required
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will be a proactive hunter with a passion for building long-term customer partnerships and delivering commercial outcomes.
You will bring:
- Proven experience in Business Development, Account Management, Territory Sales, or a similar field-based sales role
- A track record of achieving and exceeding sales and growth targets
- Strong experience acquiring and developing trade or wholesale customers
- Exceptional relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation capabilities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- The ability to analyse market trends and identify growth opportunities
- A self-motivated and results-focused approach
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Experience within the automotive, truck, transport, industrial, engineering, or related sectors will be highly regarded
