Job Description

As the B2B eCommerce Site Merchandising Manager, you will be pivotal in launching and the ongoing optimization of our Shopify website.  You will develop and execute the content strategy to create a seamless and engaging shopping experience that drives customer engagement and conversions. You will ensure a customer-first site experience while aligning with overall site management and operational goals.

This full-time position reports to the VP of Digital Experience and is expected to work in a hybrid model, which currently includes Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday in-office.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and execute a site content strategy focused on enhancing the overall eCommerce experience for our B2B customers.  Manage the content that displays to customers on the homepage and landing pages across desktop and mobile web, including owning the cross functional process of requesting content based on the site refresh calendar and uploading all content in the content management system
  • Collaborate with VP Digital Experience and B2B Business Manager to build content strategy, ensuring content is both engaging and aligned with customer expectations
  • Monitor customer behavior and identify opportunities to improve the user journey, enhancing overall site experience
  • Communicate Creative briefs and partner with Creative team to ensure an engaging and brand enhancing shopping experience. Enhance customer journey with compelling descriptions, high-quality images, and relevant keywords to improve visibility and engagement
  • Develop and maintain a clear and intuitive product categorization and navigation structure
  • Partner with SEO team to implement SEO best practices to increase organic search visibility and drive quality traffic
  • Use analytics tools to track and analyze website performance, leveraging insights to continuously refine the CX.  Make improvements to product sorts, search functionality, and merchandising tactics
  • Provide supervision to a small team, defining tasks aligned with common goals, and fosters the professional development of team members through active discussion, feedback, coaching, and mentorship 

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • 8+ years of work experience with at least 5+ years of experience in Shopify site management and content merchandising, with a focus on digital experience
  • B2B experience is highly preferred
  • Proven expertise in developing and executing site content strategies on Shopify that drives business outcomes
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using customer insights and performance data to inform continuous site optimization
  • Proficiency in SEO principles and the ability to optimize site content
  • Strong understanding of the 3 C’s (Customer, Company, Competitor) and 4 P’s (Product, Price, Place, Promotion) of Marketing
  • Demonstrate self-motivation and take initiative to drive progress independently
  • Thrive in ambiguity by making thoughtful decisions with incomplete information
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally across levels of seniority to align content and customer experience goals
  • Travel 1-2x per year for conferences and off-sites as required

The base pay range for this position is: $119,000 to $149,000. Where an individual falls within that range will vary based on several factors including geographic location and may vary depending on candidate qualifications and experience, applicable skills, and other job-related factors. We benchmark our pay ranges against current external data sources and regularly review compensation for our team members.
