Job Description

We have a part-time Florist position based in our Florist within our Pantry and Homewares Department at Ballantynes.

Within Homewares we sell everything for the home from cookware, small appliances to sofas and beds and stationery. We also stock brands that are exclusive to us so have an exciting array of products to work with and of course beautiful flowers and plants. 

You will play a pivotal role in creating memorable experiences for our customers. Whether it's a simple bouquet to brighten someone’s day or elaborate arrangements for life’s big moments.

You will be adaptable, use your initiative to keep on top of tasks, ensuring your area is kept well-presented and stocked of beautiful blooms. 

Having a good teamwork ethic is essential to assist the wider team when required. You will be working with an established team and will embrace the positive culture that Ballantynes offers.

As part of the interview stage candidates will be required to create a bouquet in front of our senior florist. 

Successful Candidate

The ideal applicant will have the following attributes:

  • Proven experience as a florist or significant experience in floral design.
  • Previous retail experience is ideal, you will be required to assist the wider team with serving customers during the day.
  • Helpful, and willing to go above and beyond to assist our customers. 
  • An enthusiastic, engaging and warm nature.
  • A team player attitude, ready to help wherever needed to support your colleagues and delight our customers.

Additional Information

This role is 21.5 hours per week working Sunday, Monday & Tuesday.
