Job Description

BESIX Watpac is seeking an Undergraduate / Graduate Planner to provide assistance in the planning, organisation, coordination and implementation of construction programs for tender and field projects, ensuring the timely delivery of accurate, high-quality programming outputs.

You will take part of our BESIX Watpac Graduate and Early Career Development Program. This program aims to develop and grow our future leaders. This two-year program builds technical knowledge within the context of an on-the-job environment and provides opportunities to develop professional business and leadership skills. BESIX Watpac Graduates & Cadets gain exposure to various areas of project delivery, and come together for learning workshops, networking, and social events.

This role will be responsible for:

  • Support the transition of tender schedules into project delivery programs for awarded projects.
  • Maintain and update project programs, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project requirements.
  • Monitor project progress and assist with the preparation of program status reports.
  • Collaborate with project teams to gather information for program development, tracking and reporting.
  • Develop expertise in project planning methodologies, programming software and project controls systems.

Qualifications

The incumbent in this role will require:

  • Currently studying or recently completed a university-level degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and ability and willingness to learn new software packages as required.
  • Proven high level of professionalism and work ethic.
  • Proven track record and ongoing focus on timeliness, accuracy and punctuality.
  • Attendance of lectures during work hours not to exceed 1 full-day, or 2 half-days per week (Undergraduate).
