Job Description

Due to our strong pipeline of opportunity within the Queensland market, we are seeking a senior construction professional to join the BESIX Watpac team, playing a critical role in identifying, pursuing and securing future projects in the region.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

  • In collaboration with the New Business Manager, formulate, recommend, implement and update market strategies in accordance with key strategic objectives.
  • Ensure the BESIX Watpac brand proposition is appropriately reflected in the operating markets with regards to all marketing and branding activities.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients including public and private sectors, and client advisory consultants.
  • In consultation with the Senior Leadership team, identify and assess project opportunities to determine target projects.
  • Collaborate and partner with other leaders within the organisation to achieve key business development goals and outcomes.
  • Contribute to the establishing and maintaining of a long-term project opportunities pipeline.
  • Manage client relationships throughout all stages of the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

This role will require the following qualifications and experience:

  • Substantial construction industry experience within the Queensland construction market.
  • Qualification in construction, business, or marketing.
  • Prior business development or work-winning experience. 
  • A detailed understanding of client procurement and contracting strategies, and project delivery methods.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to prepare and deliver presentations to executive management and third parties.
