Job Description
BESIX Watpac (Watpac Limited) is seeking an experienced Draftsperson to join our Queensland team. Working under the direction of the Engineering Director responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Assist tender teams in preparing tender documentation: methodology, site installation, 3D renderings, cranage and logistics.
- Assist the in-house engineering team in drafting complex methodologies and sequencing, temporary works and undertaking structural detailing in 2D and 3D.
- Assist operations with models assessment, coordination, update, quantities take off, clash detection using collaboration tools, such as BIM 360, Navisworks and Revizto.
- Assist in developing REVIT templates, database, REVIT Family creation, as well as drawing management tools.
- Assist in supporting colleagues in using Digital Engineering tools.
- Work across all project phases from concept to completion.
- Ensure Quality Assurance and project document control in all documentation produced for BESIX Watpac (Watpac Limited).
Qualifications
The incumbent in this role will require:
- Extensive REVIT & AutoCAD experience, predominantly in building structures or engineering projects.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Working knowledge of Australian Standards, NCC and Engineering Drafting Standards.
- Working knowledge of parametric design and Grasshopper as an advantage.
- Qualifications in Structural Design will be viewed favourably.
- Attention to detail, accuracy and a methodical / technical approach is essential.
- Ability to work autonomously and run numerous projects concurrently.
- Strong team player a willingness to support others.
- Ability to plan for and adapt to design changes.
- Ability to communicate effectively and to meet set deadlines.
- Attend site visits when required.
