Job Description
Join our production team at Avery Dennison as a Flexographic Press Operator! In this role, you will take ownership of your machinery, set up and run flexographic printing presses, and perform hands-on troubleshooting to ensure zero-defect production. What You’ll Do
Machine Operation & Setup: Prepare cylinders, mount plates, adjust ink fountains/rollers, and perform precise setups for high-quality production runs.
Quality Assurance: Interpret order specifications and use overlay gauges or shop scales to maintain close tolerances and strict quality standards.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Investigate equipment abnormalities down to the root cause and perform proactive preventative maintenance.
Safety & SOP Adherence: Consistently follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ISO 9001 work instructions, and safety guidelines.
Teamwork & Data Entry: Partner across departments to achieve site goals and accurately report finished production in plant software.
Qualifications
What You’ll Need
High school diploma or equivalent.
2+ years of printing press operation experience (flexographic machinery preferred).
Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a root-cause troubleshooting mindset.
Basic math skills and comfort learning PC software for production reporting.
Ability to stand, bend, stoop, lift up to 40 lbs., and maneuver materials using plant lift aids or hand trucks.

Physical Requirements:
- Movement: May require the ability to stand/walk for up to 80% of your shift, with frequent pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, and squatting 50% of the time.
- Lifting: May require the ability to lift up to 50 pounds 50% of your shift.
- Environment: May require being comfortable working in an environment with varying temperatures.
