Job Description
As a Senior Accountant, you will be part of our Finance Accounting department and you will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and reports (Local and US GAAP)
- Perform account reconciliation; troubleshoot and analyze discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), tax laws, and internal policies and procedures
- Analyze and verify internal consistency, completeness and mathematical accuracy of accounting documents; make adjustments, as necessary
- Responsible in preparing, adjusting and closing journal entries
- Audit, review and verify accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records
- Coordinate accounting matters with other departments, locations and divisions. (i.e. Customer Service, Procurement, Warehouse, etc.) and with external accounting service firms
- Coordinating with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory agencies to ensure the Financial Statement and Tax return comply with local laws and requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics or related field
- 3-4 years’ experience in audit and accounting
- Thorough understanding of accounting principles, practices and procedures
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Capacity to work on multiple projects and deadlines
- Capability to communicate effectively with internal and external parties;
- Fluency in Italian and English
- Very good IT knowledge, in particular Excel, Oracle knowledge is a strong plus.
