Job Description

ABOUT YOUR ROLE:

The Assistant Solution Deployment Manager is a critical role that supports Solution Deployment Manager to manage Apparel inhouse manufacturing capability across global sites and different product lines including RFID/IL, PAPER, HTL, WOVEN and PFL. Two major purposes of this role:
1. Collaborate with global sites and global functions to improve the operational efficiency of existing operations, drive a faster speed, consistent quality and productivity saving to hit annual targets while meeting customer demand
2. Partner with the Innovation technical team, design manufacturing methods for future 3-5 years. As a project manager to manage the new technology/solutions from Design, Development, Validation, Global Deployment and provide technical support to global operations by focusing on improving the service, productivity, quality and sustainability. Support the new program launch from capability perspective and global technology evolution.

Key responsibilities include but not limited by leading the team on:

  • Solution Development and Validation - Partner of Innovation technical team 

    1. Define the development, validation target according to program or project requirements.

    2. Leverage resources of external suppliers and collaborate with internal global functions 

    3. Visibility and traceability of progresses and results.

    4. Report out development and validation results to stakeholders to meet project targets

  • Solution Deployment  - Training Center of global sites

    1. Co-work with technical engineers to deploy new solutions to global sites and be responsible for the outcomes as owner.

    2. Engage key stakeholders and business functions through the entire deployment cycle.

    3. Report out the project outcomes to stakeholders, flag risks and drive solutions.

  • Technical Support Center

    1. Provide technical support to global sites by engaging internal functions and external suppliers.

    2. Visibility of site capability sufficiency, risk assessment and engaging sites to drive solutions.

    3. Maintain a global technical network and drive best practice sharing for continuous improvement.

 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Solution owner: manage solution development, validation to deployment for designated product lines.

  • Understand real business challenges, user pain points and development requirements.

  • Partner with Innovation team and worked out effective new solutions to support new business and drive productivity savings

  • Organize and establish end-to-end project plans to achieve targets, including quality, timeline, and cost. 

  • Monitor the new technology project as owner, partner with global functions PMO, CPM, GP, GSC, GTQ & GPD, share new platform performance to help global functions build costing model, program deployment plan, capacity plan and quality plan..

  • Engage team engineers for deployment from startup package preparation, onsite or online training session, Site Acceptance Test,  Go live till ramp up, be responsible for the outcome by project level.

  • Anticipate risks of projects, escalate, mitigate and manage accordingly to achieve project objectives. 

  • Project report out to key stakeholders and ASLT leaders as needed.

  • Collaborate with global Ops teams, organize global meetings across site operations to drive best practice sharing, performance review and drive continuous improvement on operational efficiency.

  • Ensuring compliance with all health, safety and security policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • BS in business or supply chain management related or equivalent training.

  • 8 years of relevant experience in people management, project management and customer program management; Manufacturing experience especially RFID, Embelex preferable.

  • Experience and demonstrated success in leading and managing global projects across manufacturing sites.

  • Excellent collaboration and problem-solving skills with high levels of motivation, initiative and energy. 

  • Global vision and mindset, solid critical thinking and questioning skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across global functions with proven interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities with limited supervision.

  • Ability to see interdependencies across deliverables and milestones.

  • Ability to learn new concepts and processes quickly.

  • Travel internationally when required to support business needs.
