Job Description

Are you mechanically inclined and driven by performance? Avery Dennison is looking for a dependable Casting Machine Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will take true ownership of specialized casting machinery, monitoring production runs to ensure peak quality and operational performance. 

What You Will Do (Day-to-Day)

  • Set Up & Calibrate: Lead machine setups, changeovers, and program production sequences for optimal efficiency.

  • Monitor Quality: Load raw materials, unload finished products, and perform routine testing using precision measuring devices to guarantee high-quality work.

  • Troubleshoot Processes: Monitor gauges, meters, and temperatures; identify malfunctions and collaborate with maintenance to find root-cause solutions rather than temporary fixes.

  • Ensure Safety & Adherence: Strictly follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety policies to maintain a clean, secure manufacturing environment.

  • Collaborate Broadly: Maintain meticulous production logs and step outside your daily routine to support your teammates in meeting site goals.

Qualifications

What We Look For in You

  • Required: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

  • Aptitude: Solid mechanical aptitude with a deep curiosity to learn exactly how production assets function.

  • Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail to monitor close tolerances and catch defects early.

  • Adaptability: A growth mindset with the flexibility to cross-train on different assets and adjust to business needs or overtime.

  • Tech Savvy: Comfortable reading digital dashboards and navigating basic computer applications.

  • Preferred: Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or warehouse setting.

Shift: C Shift, 11pm-7am

Pay: $25.09/hr plus $2/hr shift differential
