Job Description

Working autonomously, regularly exercising independent judgment and discretion with limited supervision, the Client Specialist is responsible for ensuring client business objectives and schedules are met through proactive planning and thorough project management, thus ensuring an exceptional client experience. This position operates as an individual contributor who serves as the primary point of contact for a major, significantly high-revenue assigned client. The successful candidate provides day-to-day client relationship management, which includes autonomously negotiating and committing to client deliverables and independently investigating and resolving client concerns on behalf of the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary day-to-day relationship manager and main point of contact between the assigned major, high-revenue client and internal departments.

  • Manage one or more client accounts with several million dollars in annual revenue by mastering the client’s business processes and organization to provide excellent service.

  • Own the issue resolution process by independently investigating, escalating, addressing, and resolving client complaints, concerns, and workflow issues.

  • Work closely with the client and internal Sales, Creative, IT, and Operations departments to establish clear, concise project specifications and production requirements.

  • Evaluate and determine when committing to expedited, un-billed shipping methods or print production overtime is necessary to meet client-dictated timing and delivery requirements.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a similar field, combined with at least 3 to 5 years of related business experience or training in client service.

  • Must possess the ability to be diplomatic with challenging clients, showing excellent oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills to effectively present information to groups and management.

  • Ability to work in a collaborative, participative, and team-oriented environment, managing projects independently from inception through final delivery in a fast-paced setting.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, delivering successfully against deadlines with a keen attention to detail to ensure the highest quality of deliverables.

  • Skilled in effectively utilizing a variety of software programs including PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Access, Word, ERP, and retail or client-specific proprietary systems.
