Job Description

Location: Miamisburg, Ohio Shift: 1st Shift, Mon-Fri (6 AM - 2 PM)

Are you an organized problem-solver who thrives in a dynamic environment? Avery Dennison is looking for a Material Handler to join our production support team in Miamisburg. In this active role, you will keep our facility moving smoothly by managing inventory, receiving raw materials, and prepping finished goods for shipment. What You'll Do Daily

  • Receive & Verify: Safely unload, identify, and verify incoming shipments from vendors and production using material handling equipment.

  • Logistics & Inventory: Accurately track inventory using standard computer databases and handwritten documentation.

  • Shipping Prep: Prepare, label, consolidate, and stretch-wrap pallets to ensure orders are ready for secure transit.

  • Team Collaboration: Partner across departments to resolve stock discrepancies, support continuous improvement, and maintain a safe, clean 5S workspace.

Qualifications

What You Bring:

  • Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

  • Technical Skills: Basic math proficiency (fractions, decimals) and comfort learning inventory control software.

  • Equipment Experience: Skill or willingness to be trained to operate equipment like Forklifts, Order Pickers, and Pallet Trucks (ability to obtain a Material Handling License required).

  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand/sit continuously, work at varying heights, and lift up to 50 lbs. (and up to 100 lbs. with team assistance).

  • Core Traits: Strong organizational skills, a safety-first mindset, and the resilience to adapt quickly when production priorities shift.
