Job Description
Prepare items of shipments: compares identifying information from Export request form, counts, weight, or measure items of outgoing shipment to verify information against bill of lading or Air way bill, Invoices, Orders or other records
Determines method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates
Correspondence with forwarder or courier for Export Declaration ( PEB, NPE )
Work with forwarder or couriers to ensure accurate movement of export goods meet the required timeframe
Verifies & keep records on outgoing shipment in hard copy and soft copy (export)
Submit monthly export report to Accounting
Examines, classifies and appraises imported goods according to Indonesia import regulation and accompanying documentation according to import requirement, considering legal restriction, country of origin, and values
Determines duty and taxes to be paid on imported goods, considering its HS classification & import value ( PIB )
Prepare the import legal attorney for import declaration process
Follow and Process the import insurance policy
Plan, coordinate and evaluate import inspection with custom ( SPJK, SPJM )
Work with forwarder or courier for import arrangement to ensure import meet the required timeframe
Inform related department in Avery Dennison for import incoming plan
Examine import shipments, reject/damages or shortage items, and correspondence with shipper / forwarder/ insurance company to rectify the damages and or shortage
Process claim to Forwarder or Courier for any damage goods
Do 2nd check for export declaration documents
Verifies and keep records on incoming shipment in hard copy and soft copy ( Import )
Examines, classifies and appraises imported/Export goods according to Indonesia import /Export regulation and accompanying documentation according to import requirement, considering legal restriction, country of origin, and values
Plan & implement all import & export transportation strategies according to all supplier and customer and ensure comply to Indonesian regulations
Coordinate with suppliers, inventory planners, purchasing and ensure accurate movement and the arrival goods within required timeframe and obtain the best freight rate
Evaluate performance and renew contract with forwarders and couriers as per requirement and prepare report for all import and export activities and recommend changes if required
Perform shipment booking with forwarders, issues or denies permits to release import/export shipment for delivery depending on legal requirement
Notifies other governmental agencies responsible for import inspection ( eg. Surveyor )
Request laboratory testing and analyses of goods as needed
Update new regulation of import/export laws and procedures and maintain knowledge on all tariff and licenses
Design SOP and ensure the compliance
Execute all corrective action plan for import /export processes
Do 2nd check for import declaration documents
Ensure all tasks are performed with a strong commitment to Safety and the implementation of 5S practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field
- 3–5 years of experience in import/export operations and customs clearance
- Strong knowledge of Indonesia import/export regulations, HS code, duty & tax
- Experience working with forwarders, customs, and handling shipping documents
- Good coordination, attention to detail, and English communication skills
