On-site IT Support Technician (Dutch speaking)

Job Description

An IT Support Technician is the backbone of all computer-related technology within the business(es) and site(s) they support. Your primary responsibility is to provide support of Avery Dennison’s endpoint computing and site infrastructure in The Netherlands; be the Local ‘Smart hands’ (On-Call support) as well as providing continuous improvement to Avery Dennison’s technology and processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support endpoint devices (Laptop, desktop, mobile devices, printers, thin clients) throughout their lifecycle, including provisioning, refresh, asset management and decommission.

  • Manage and support of other local Site Infrastructure like Servers, Network-Devices, Clocking-Terminals, etc. in collaboration.

  • Provide ‘smart-hand’ support at the site including on-call (per rotation schedule).

  • Follow ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) processes such as change, incident and problem management and comply to and execute SOX controls.

  • Install, upgrade and replace selected software and hardware products according to Avery Dennison standards.

  • Deliver training on Avery Dennison’s software and computer systems, including group presentations, one-on-one training, and onboarding.

Qualifications

  • BSc/High School diploma or equivalent required with Information Technology courses or certification(s).

  • 3+ years related experience performing routine software installations, program updates, and troubleshooting on computer, server, and network systems.

  • Good communication skills in English and Dutch language.

  • Understanding and experience with information systems environments, Google suite, and networking and server infrastructure.

  • A valid driving license and the ability to travel to support other sites or projects when needed.
