Job Description

Avery Dennison is seeking a SIOP Manager to lead our business management process by aligning planning across sales, inventory, and operations. In this role, you will be the primary architect of our SIOP roadmap, ensuring that volume and asset capacity are perfectly balanced to provide exceptional customer service while maximizing operational efficiency. You will Display Agility by adapting quickly to new market information and Champion Collaboration by working across commercial, operations, and finance teams to drive shared business outcomes.

As a senior leader, you will:

  • Lead Change & Strategy: Partner with stakeholders to develop and conduct the monthly SIOP process. You will lead the Demand Planning, Inventory, and S&OP teams, serving as a role model and change-agent to achieve business goals.

  • Forecast & Analyze: Develop short, medium, and long-term demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation. You will review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, and utilize statistical forecast models to ensure high levels of accuracy.

  • Drive Results: Oversee the preparation for Commercial Demand Review, Rough Cut Capacity, and Finance Review meetings. You will facilitate quarterly Executive S&OP meetings with business leaders, translating market trends into actionable goals.

  • Inventory & Asset Optimization: Set monthly inventory targets and maintain adequate safety stock levels for WIP and Raw inventory. You will collaborate with site leaders on execution plans to maximize asset utilization.

  • Financial Alignment: Partner with the finance team on R&O forecasts and target setting, ensuring all operational plans are linked to the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).

  • Simplify & Prioritize: Leverage metrics and analytical tools to identify opportunities for improvement, focusing team efforts on tasks that translate into maximum organizational impact.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field is required.

  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in Operations, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing, with at least 3 years of proven supervisory experience.

  • Technical Expertise: Working knowledge of modern manufacturing, material flow, and improvement strategies (e.g., ELS, Six Sigma, or continuous flow).

  • AI Proficiency: Familiarity with using AI tools (e.g., Google Gemini) to develop advanced strategies, predictive models, and analytical tools for SIOP processes.

  • Financial Acumen: Demonstrated understanding of financial systems and the key drivers within a manufacturing environment.

  • Strategic Leadership: Strong organizational skills in strategy and execution, with the ability to lead, contribute to, and influence others in a team-based organization.

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to openly convey complex information to team members and senior leadership in a timely, concise manner.

  • Systems Knowledge: Proficiency with applicable computer systems such as Microsoft Office, Google applications, Oracle r12, and Demantra.

  • Certifications: Green Belt, ELS, or equivalent continuous improvement certification is preferred.
