Position Responsibilities:
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for all supply chain activities within the plant. Customer Service, Planning, Purchasing, Shipping and Subcontracting with strong focus on improving service to the customer, The scope of the role includes leading the overall strategy for demand planning, material planning, capacity planning, scheduling, and inventory management. Additionally, Manage the implementation of all new solutions within our supply chain processes. This is a pivotal role that will ensure our site can produce efficiently and meet customer demands cost-effectively. Key metrics for success in this position include flexibility, reliability, inventory turns, and achieving savings through supply chain initiatives.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Champions Safety
Ensure and drive improvements in supply chain process and technology to deliver first-class results
Drive improvements in service (reliability, availability and flexibility) to the customers
Implementation of sustainable systems and procedures
Provide Supply Chain, Capacity Management leadership for Toronto site, reporting to the operation site leader;
Drive continuous improvement in supply chain processes that influence flexibility, reliability to the customers including new supply chain module;
Develop Demand Planning collecting info for production planning team including trend analysis and variances;
Organize and define clear process for Capacity planning of all the assets in Toronto based on the demand planning output;
Define processes to minimize the high demand during the peak season (Prebuild, Outsourcing, Intercompany support etc…);
Ownership of the Sale & Operations Planning process;
Accountable for providing inputs to the Annual Operation Plan process for matching customers and market expectations;
Assist in instituting and promoting cost reduction projects.
Coordinate with other departments to determine materials needed and schedules to be met.
Manage the Supply Chain team leading strategic functional plans and performance and controls and resources.
Qualifications
What we expect from you! - Your Expertise:
Completed Master or Bachelor degree in Engineering, Supply Chain management or equivalent
Supply Chain Management or related experience, with supervisory or lead experience.
Project lead experience.
Working knowledge of modern manufacturing, material flow and improvement strategies (e.g. ELS, continuous flow etc.) and the ability to integrate those into the operation.
Demonstrated understanding of financial systems and the key drivers within the manufacturing environment.
Strong organizational skills in strategy, communication at all levels and execution.
Strong leadership skills. Ability to lead, communicate organizational strategy, contribute, and influence others in a team-based organization
Excellent organizational and people skills, project management skills, with an ability to openly convey information to team members in a timely, concise manner.
Understanding of applicable computer systems, such as Google Suite, Oracle, and ability to learn other function specific software.
