About the role

Step into a pivotal role where safety meets innovation. As EHS Manager , you will drive Environmental, Health, and Safety excellence at two premier  locations in India ,our Bangalore  Plant and our Coimbatore Unit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational EHS Management: Manage day-to-day safety operations for India Bangalore Plant operations , implementing global corporate EHS programs and ensuring strict adherence to Safety, Health and sustainability goals.

  • Risk Assessment & Control: Conduct thorough risk assessments, on Safety behaviors  and implement robust control measures for chemical hazards and flammable liquids to avoid any recordable injury. Consistent drive for Near Miss.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance and safety law as per state and central regulations, environmental regulations, maintaining a deep understanding of the full lifecycle of chemical management from handling to disposal.

  • Safety Systems & Technical Expertise: Apply expertise in manufacturing and plant equipment to maintain a safe environment in our operations, Drive BBS (Behavior Based Safety) across both the units.

  • Continuous Improvement: Provide guidance on new environmental legislation and green chemistry practices, fostering a strong safety culture through coaching and feedback.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Technical or bachelor / university degree in Environment, Health and Safety or Chemical/Process Engineering, with a minimum of 8-10  years of relevant experience.

  • Deep expertise in occupational EHS, industrial hygiene, and  health and safety legislation within a manufacturing  environment.

Skills you need to succeed:

  • Proven ability to  foster teamwork, and skillfully influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills in both Dutch and English, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software systems.

  • People management Skills
